Behind the Screen and the Chalkboard: My Journey as a Teacher

After spending six years in classrooms and now teaching on global platforms as an online tutor, I’ve come to realize that great teaching is far more than delivering lessons. It’s about inspiring, connecting, and continuously growing.

A great teacher listens before they speak. They know their subject deeply, but more importantly, they understand how to make it come alive for every learner. Whether it’s in front of a chalkboard or through a screen, the best teachers create a space where students feel safe, seen, and encouraged to question.

Technology has changed how we teach, but not why we teach. In both physical and virtual classrooms, I’ve learned that empathy, adaptability, and genuine care make the biggest impact. A great teacher doesn’t just aim to finish a syllabus — they aim to spark curiosity that lasts long after the lesson ends.

I believe teaching is one of the most human professions. It’s not about perfection. It’s about presence.
